Khaliyah became involved with St. Al’s after visiting Nairobi in 2016 as part of a fellowship program with Georgetown University. Since then, she has remained involved with the School of Hope Foundation Associate Board and has enjoyed supporting social media campaigns, fundraisers, and traveling back to St. Al’s. Khaliyah has her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and MBA from the University of Virginia. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA and is a Consultant for Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Stephen founded the St. Aloysius Associate Board along with Mr. Cedric Asiavugwa and acted as its founding Chair for its first two years of operations. He was introduced to St. Aloyisius through a mutual friend and after moving to Nairobi, Kenya full time, he fell in love with the school, its students, and its mission. Stephen received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago. He currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya where he is spearheading two charitable ventures - Africa in the Moot & The Fleischer Family Foundation. He also teaches at Strathmore Law School part time.

Myles first became involved with St. Al’s while a student at Regis High School in New York City. In 2012, he organized a fundraising trip to St. Al’s with a group of college students while at Georgetown University, and later joined the School of Hope Foundation Associate Board after graduation. He is currently a Vice Chairman on the Associate Board based in New York City, and works as a Director on the Equity Capital Markets team for Tishman Speyer.

Max is a 2014 graduate of Regis High School. He visited St. Al’s in 2013 to help share Regis’s spiritual retreat program with the St. Al’s students. He is a 2018 graduate of Cornell University, where he earned a B.A. in Physics and Government. Upon graduating from Cornell, Max was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, where he has been on active duty for over 6 years. He is currently an F/A-18E Super Hornet pilot and lives in Hanford, California.

Caroline is a recent graduate of Miami University where she received her bachelor's degree in Human Capital Management and Leadership. She now lives in Denver, Colorado working as an HR analyst. Caroline was introduced to the School of Hope Foundation by her aunt, Clare Brichler, and since getting involved has loved using her interest in social media to support the board's fundraising campaigns and raise awareness for St. Al's.

Ellen visited St. Al’s with her father, board member Ken Kobe, in 2018. Her family became connected to St. Al’s through her high school, Brebeuf Jesuit in Indianapolis, where founder Fr. Terry Charlton is also an alum. She is a graduate of DePauw University and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She resides in New York City.

Grace got involved with St. Al’s in 2019 as a Social Media Intern for School of Hope and spent 2 weeks with the students and faculty in Nairobi learning about the mission. Since then she has finished her degree in Public Relations from Xavier University and currently works in the Sales Department at Blue Plate. Grace lives in Chicago and enjoys the work she does with the Associate Board helping with social media campaigns and fundraisers.

Elena, based in Kenya, Nairobi, graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S.F.S. in International Politics in 2023. Now working on refugee economic integration in East Africa, Elena was connected to the School of Hope Foundation via her affiliation with the Center for Social Justice at Georgetown. As one of two Kenya-based members, she hopes to support capacity for in-person programming at St. Als.

Matt got involved with St. Al’s in 2018 while attending Regis High School. He was the chair of the fundraising committee there for three years and was really called to the mission. He is a current junior at the University of Notre Dame studying accounting, finance, and real estate and is originally from Hoboken, NJ.
