Graduate sponsorship

This program supports students’ transition from high school to universities and colleges depending on their academic achievement and career interests. St. Aloysius now has over 700 graduates and provides annual financial support for tuition and accommodation fees for over 150 graduates. This allows students to continue their studies in universities, colleges, and technical and vocational programs. The school has graduated 874 students since 2006.

Grow A Doc/Grow A Nurse

St. Al’s is blessed to have the support of Harambee, a US-based nonprofit, which provides additional funds for graduates wishing to pursue careers in the medical field.  Since 2014, Harambee has supported 15 St. Al’s graduates to become MDs (3),

Thanks to Harambee, Dr. Maurine Keraa, St. Aloysius graduate (2013), became our first student to become a medical doctor. Her message to students and parents is to keep hope alive and provide an unwavering support system for each other.

Mustard Seed Program

The Mustard Seed mentoring program is funded by a private donor and seeks to assist individuals without jobs in acquiring necessary skills to secure employment or start their own entrepreneurial ventures. They are assisted with creation of robust CV and cover letters, securing internships, and development of a positive attitude for job setting – all part of what they call THE HABIT OF WORK. Mustard Seed trains youth in essential 21st-century skills crucial for success in today’s competitive job market such as financial literacy, effective communication, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy. Through our mentorship program we delve deeply into workplace ethics and personal development as essentials for growth at work.  Once a month they meet to share successes and challenges as a family.
