The graduates spend six months from January-June between graduation and the start of college in the Fall doing community service and making decisions about tertiary education. Students volunteer in schools, health centers, day care centers and other nonprofits in Kibera. Four days per week they are doing volunteer work and then spend Fridays at school reflecting on their experiences and preparing for college. All of our students are taught that they have gifts to share with others and the importance of being “Men and Women for Others.”
